Through innovative new frame construction and improved spooled design, the Nautilus X-Series reels set a new standard for lightness, strength, drag smoothness, and fast line pick up. The X-Series wields an open frame design where strong crossing beams extend from the center to a wide line guard. This X frame not only adds sex appeal but also allows for rear spool rim protection where the reel typically makes contact with the ground.
The spool on the X-Series is the lightest Nautilus has ever produced. In addition to shaving weight, Nautilus also added a generous 1/8″ secondary palming rim for added fish control, increased spool strength by 35%, and highly ventilated the spool to improve the drying time of your backing.
The new sealed SCF-X Teflon® and carbon fiber disc drag system on the Nautilus X-Series is adjusted with a large drag knob that offers superior gripping surface and texture.
